How to reach the Port of Civitavecchia |

For passengers travelling with their vehicle:
Coming from Rome (A12): Do not take the Civitavecchia exit but continue till the end of the motorway, then take the link road for Civitavecchia up to the Port. Head for the “Autostrade del Mare” terminal.
Coming from Rome (SS1-Aurelia): Once you arrive in Civitavecchia follow the “port” signs.
Coming from North (SS1-Aurelia): Take the link road Orte-Civitavecchia for Civitavecchia till the end of Largo della Pace (port entrance).
Coming from Viterbo-Orte: Go to the link road until the end of Largo della Pace (port entrance).
For passengers without vehicle:
There is a train service operating every 30 minutes between Roma Termini/ Tuscolana/ Ostiense/ Trastevere/ San Pietro/ Aurelia and Civitavecchia.
The distance from Civitavecchia station to the port entrance “Forte Michelangelo” is 500 metres (leaving the station on the right towards the seaside).
There is a shuttle service operating every 45 minutes which will take you from “Forte Michelangelo to the “Autostrade del Mare” terminal (the shuttle is organised by the Civitavecchia Port Authority). There is also a taxi rank outside the Civitavecchia station.
